Thanks to the 400 members and guests who made the retro party such a success. Now It's time to announce our next event.

One of our most popular themes has been the Alternative Bellydance Show. It features top New York dancers performing to non traditional music. We'll be presenting it again on Friday, September 22nd. The party will be from 6-11PM with a half hour show around 8:30. The rest of the evening is set aside for networking, mingling and general merriment.

The location will be Taj, located at 48 West 21st Street between 5th and 6th Avenues. Taj is a great club and the Moroccan theme makes it a perfect venue for this type of event.

Bellydance is more popular then ever and was a big hit at our events last April and October. Don't miss this chance to check it out while partying with friends both old and new. As always with my large monthly events admission is FREE!

ok, I've found our perfect space for our WNYBDA home base and studio/wellness center! It is centrally located to all of the area studios and I am SO excited! I am picking up the keys in just a few short hours and then I can get in there and decorate!

I would like to have a "studio warming" hafla/fundraiser in the next week or two to help raise the funds to cover our October event...Morocco (yes, it's a definite, I'm just gonna bite the bullet and hope we get good attendance), Sonia, Zoe and myself doing workshops, PLUS
our annual WNYBDA awards hafla and banquet..(voting slips will be available at each table)

WNYBDA members get in FREE to the banquet (I will have the new membership cards/handbooks/etc for everyone who is on the paid list already at the studio warming party)
(sorry, I just haven't had the extra $$ to pick up the books from the printers & he won't let me split the order because it is so big....) *bugger*

Hello everyone and thanks for helping to launch my new website in style! Now It's time to announce our next event.

We'll be back at "Light," located at 125 East 54th Street between Lexington and Park avenues on Friday, April 7th from 6-11PM. This event will include an alternative bellydance show featuring some of New York's top dancers.

They will do a half hour show around 8:30 with the rest of the evening set aside for networking, mingling and general merriment.

The raffle that we're holding will have some great prizes including:

Hello everone:

Our next party will be on Friday, June 10th from 6 to Midnight at The Boston (212) Cafe located at 79 Madison Ave. near 28th Street, inside a restaurant called Scopa. It's a nice place and the owner is a cool guy who's easy to work with. They have happy hour until 7 and a full menu. Look forward to seeing you there!

Great party, happy birthday once again, Andy & Meng.
Andy, you were a wonderful host, made me and the lovely Alex feel so welcome; Katie and Meng, you both were a blast. Very nice crowd, good place, glad that you chose a place with a good menu, not just bar. Loved the velvet rope and the bouncers!
