ok, I've found our perfect space for our WNYBDA home base and studio/wellness center! It is centrally located to all of the area studios and I am SO excited! I am picking up the keys in just a few short hours and then I can get in there and decorate!

I would like to have a "studio warming" hafla/fundraiser in the next week or two to help raise the funds to cover our October event...Morocco (yes, it's a definite, I'm just gonna bite the bullet and hope we get good attendance), Sonia, Zoe and myself doing workshops, PLUS
our annual WNYBDA awards hafla and banquet..(voting slips will be available at each table)

WNYBDA members get in FREE to the banquet (I will have the new membership cards/handbooks/etc for everyone who is on the paid list already at the studio warming party)
(sorry, I just haven't had the extra $$ to pick up the books from the printers & he won't let me split the order because it is so big....) *bugger*

(don't worry, I have all of the paid members recorded in the book)

I also will be picking up our tickets this week for our section at the BDSS show in November..we have FIFTY PRIME seats (yeah baby!) all together AND you get an extra surprise from me for supporting the WNYBDA when you get to your seat!

If you buy your tickets from UBCFA, they are $25+ plus their $1 fee, IF you get them from me, they are TEN DOLLARS (plus UB's $1 fee for whatever)

I am opening this offer up to the entire BD community so no one feels excluded...please contact me to get your ticket, I wil be picking up a portion of the tickets on Friday morning but need the money up front to purchase them..tickets will be delivered to your home on saturday afternoon or will be available in classes or for pickup at my home in Williamsville or at the Family justice center the following wednesday from 1-5pm or at various times at the new studio when I am there finishing the remodel..(still have to sledgehammer that wall...lol~) (can't wait, saving that one for last)

I will be calling a monthly meeting to go over events in the community, etc etc and talk about ways to improve our organization/events and would love to hear everyone's ideas!

we will also be having a weekly bellydance party athe WNYBDA main HQ with food, open dancing, drum circles and more! only $5!!!!!!!!!
